Meklit's Enchanting Ways...

Meklit Hadero is one of my favorite people I have crossed paths with while living in San Francisco.  Her voice and warmth have amazed and enchanted me since first seeing her perform at the Red Poppy Art House in the mission.  I have been fortunate to listen to her and photograph her many times over the past few years and watch her music develop and bloom.  This is one image I took while she was performing at the De Young Museum awhile back.  I recommend that everyone check out her music, attend her upcoming shows, or simply glimpse a little of her radiant energy through her site and enjoy...

Bridget + Dave

Time flies and I have not yet posted images from this beautiful, sun-filled wedding on the beach.  Bridget and Dave were such a warm, easy-going and kind couple to photograph throughout their wedding in the Florida Keys.  Some sweet moments I remember from the day were the fresh coconuts served to all of the guests upon entering the reception and that everyone danced barefoot in the sand to a great live band late into the night.  I recently heard the exciting news that they moved to New York City and are expecting their first baby this March!  I look forward to being in touch with them for years to come and photographing their growing family this Summer when I visit the East Coast.  For now here are some images from their sweet wedding...

 

sweet little emma...

I was so fortunate to spend a few tender moments photographing baby Emma with her mama when she was only a few days old this Winter.  She was born directly into her father's arms, just before New Years Eve in Lake Tahoe, California.  Emma has the most loving and amazing family surrounding her, Joel, Linda & Jaden are all incredible!  I know she will follow an adventurous path full of health and sweetness.  She arrived a little early and weighed less than six pounds.  Holding her tiny body reminded me of how fragile and precious this life truly is...
